I tend to think that a light trigger pull helps on the flat land as well... For me, 2 pounds is the lower limit. Anything less than that can get tricky in cold temps.
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!
