john, I have the same findings. that 6x blew the bottom wire. i too have scrambled a good number of variables, and failure to track or hold zero seems to be my #1 cause of return.

I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.
