Friend gave me an older 1899 EG takedown in 300 Savage a few years ago.
It had been a real education in both the caliber, and the rifle, as great hunting tools for a woods hunter.
Bonus is it's pleasant to carry, pleasant to shoot, and flat out effective.
Gotta be the most underestimated package ever.
