How many Mainland Chinese folks have you been around? Every one of the many I've been around (including three teenagers for a whole year) seemed to think of their government as a sort of benevolent uncle. 'Course, I've only met the ones they let out of the country.

I figure insulting people, especially on that scale, is best done face to face. You feel differently.

But I'll admit my Thailand joke coulda been taken out of context, especially by a hostile audience.


Perhaps the word "kill" was not to be taken literally. I agree public schools and most colleges "kill" our country's future. When I see "man on the street" interviews with college people I am no longer surprised they have no idea what our history is or even what our president is doing. All they "know" is they don't like the white slave owners who started this country and what our president is now doing.
