Mart...i believe that one belonged to DMc , i recall that one also.

I have a Model 7KS that i've hunted with a good bit, and i like it quite a lot. Come to think of it, its probably my favorite bolt gun for deer hunting. Some years ago, Layne Simpson penned an article...... i think it was in Handloader, with bolt-gun-only .35rem load data that was a bit more peppy. Although, mine seems to kill stuff pretty well without hot-rodding it.

The 150gr load that R-P used to make shot great; so back when that was available as a component bullet i got some; have to look up data but i think those are loaded to about 2550fps in my rifle, and 180's run about 2300fps. I've shot several with the Speer 180 FNSP; works nicely.

cant see the rifle much, but this one is mine....wears a Leupold 1.5-5x, with German #4 reticle.
