Remington made a short run of 7600 pumps dubbed �Police� or 7600P. Their purpose was to be a companion to the 870�s carried in Patrol cars. They were chambered in 223 and 308, The barrel length was 16� inches and the 223 would accept an AR-15 magazine. The 7600 posted above is a copy of the 7600P only chambered in 35 Remington. Makes a terrific truck gun and general deep woods, heavy thicket, soggy bottom, gully, and/or gulch gun. Perfect rifle for tracking wounded game as it's super fast on point and mechanically flawless.
I�ve had fun with other 7600 configurations also:
7600 260 Remington, 20" barrel, straight grip 20 gauge 870 "Special Field" stock.
