Weird noises in the woods at times, dark of night miles from the road and a person unfamiliar with this might get jumpy:

This sounds almost like those folks on the Finding Bigfoot show:
I'm not saying they're not out there, just that there are a lot of unexplained noises at night.
I tend toward being in the crowd that says why hasn't there been one shot and brought out of the woods?
When I lived in PA back in '99 there was talk of there being mt lions there at that time. Never saw a game cam pic of one, and there were about 1million licensed hunters in the woods that shot everything from farmer Brown's mule to cow elk during deer season and no one shot a lion? Ever? Maybe there's bona fide evidence of them there now, but not in '99.
I'm still waiting for a carcass to show up.
