Reminds me of some of the requests I get at work. "Whats it going to cost to make X product?". They then get all bug-eyed when you ask the 2,000 follow up questions that go into costing that out.
Most folks live thirty miles or less from a Walmart. And you can go into said Walmart and usually walk out with one of probably at least three serviceable .22's that will do the job for you for $300 or less. That's pretty decent. Things are so jumpy nowadays that who knows if the same Walmart will have 22 ammo for the gun, but the last time I looked and bought some, they sure did. Plenty of it.
