Years of killing coyotes, I've been through all manner of stuff.

For me, the a long, slippery, high BC .22 is where it's at. The .223 doesn't have the horsepower, but the .22 Creedmoor I've been using for a couple years now does. A 69gr Sierra TMK at 3550 works pretty well. Speed is nice, but the math is the math...wind makes the high BC stuff earn it's keep.

I like a heavier rifle, somewhere in the 10lb range. Much lighter and I have to give up things I don't want to, heavier and it's a pain. A FFP scope is not a negotiable item, and a tripod is pretty close to such.
