The English people didn't choose to be a wog refugee camp any more than Americans chose to absorb the lower caste of Mexico.

It was decided for them.

Germany was targeted also,...many years ago. They bucked the decision. The British stepped in and the end result was a Soviet empire and an England that had to go to war to hold the Falkland Islands.
