A buddy of mine is high up in a major corporation. He has a co-worker who was born in India.
This man tells of how in the very early 70s, his father ran into their modest home in Lahore screaming to his wife, "Sell Everything! Sell Everything! We are moving to America!"
"But why dear?", replied his mother.
"I just saw a Soviet propaganda film showing how Americans are racist and mistreat black people!" shouted the father.
"And so?", asked the mother.
"Woman!", yelled the father, "In America, even the poor people are fat!"
