Governments of all persuasions appear to be typically composed of self serving bums, addicted to positions of power, 'governing' the masses - for their own good, of course - covering their own miserable arses by saying and doing anything to hold office, lies and deception being the stock in trade for politics.
Those who seek power being the least qualified to wield it.
