Actually and specifically on the Ruble value issues, if one believes that the supposedly scheduled peace talks bears fruit between Russia and the Ukraine then a play on the Ruble and on the Euro might prove to be very lucrative.

And if Russia avoids debt bonds defaults that would be another big plus from where both currencies now stand in relation to the usd$.


I believe Putin anticipated all of the sanctions and fallout and has a plan up his sleeve..... he has been preparing for years, he fears no stinkin sanctions....
The Ruble and it's value is immaterial in the long run.
This whole thing is to break the back of the petro dollar...
We will have a new reserve currency and probably several reserve currencies, maybe even a digital reserve currency... and the US will have no say in it.
