I started driving in 1963 and on Nevada's endless miles of dirt highways, as well as what we now call 4-wheel drive trails, driven in a '49 Ford PU and a 51 GMC PU. We changed a lot of tires. On one single day deer bow hunt on Mt Grant I changed to three spares; we always brought all we had, since there were no other people around for many miles.
I well remember that in 1964 I put the Handy-Man jack through of the hood of my dad's new Jeep Wagoneer.
