About forty years ago, 1977 Chevy blazer. Christmas eve on the way home from friends get together and church. Approximate 55 mile trip home, all country roads, about 20 miles from their house, I hit a chunk of metal in the road, blew rear tire. Got out jack and such to change, then discovered the spare was also flat. Had to walk up the road to a farm house to ask to use phone to call my friend for a portable air compressor. He had problems getting the compressor to work, but luckily found a tire on a rim that would fit on the Blazer. Got home about 2:30 in the morning. Yes that turned out to be a topic to be talked about for many Christmas's later.
In general, over my life time, I have changed many tires, that one was obviously the most memorable.
