Spotted one sitting he look like it was about 100 yards to the jack, thought of using the .22-250, but decided the Smith .44 would be more fun. Had it loaded with 44 spl. cases, 8 grain of Unique and a 210 gr. Rem. HP. First two shots were side buy side, but low.. Held up a bit of front sight and tried again..It looked close but the jack ran about 30 yards and stopped.. I squeezed off one more and to my surprise, and I am sure his, drilled him though the chest for and instant kill.. Kate brought him back.. Paced it off at 136 steps.. One of my best shots..

back in the mid 80s, the 4 inch 629's were my favorite rigs by far...
