For my purposes

280AI (elk / Deer)

25/06 (yotes / lopes)

243 for Pdogs

I use a 260 for anything under 300 deer
9.3x62 for anything elk on up under 300
204 for yotes to pdogs under 300

I use 300 as the Long range boundary because -
- Most people I train have problems hitting past 200 (you need to know what your doing)
- at 300 the wind and bullet dynamics really start making a significant difference
- Most gun ranges stop under 300 so people don't always have access

So unless you live in the boonies or west of Kansas City (plains) your pretty challenged past 300. Even then if you don't apply yourself it's easy to get messed up.
