It's my favorite deer round. 140gr Accubonds enter with an attitude, tear up everything nearby and throw the mess out a nice sized hole on the other side. I remember seeing a 6ft shaft of blood flying out the other side of one buck I shot when the light was just right. I killed 2 feral Goats with one shot with the 140gr Accubonds too, dropped them both within a couple feet of each other.
I have noticed different velocities with the same loads in different rifles. My Sako M-85 with a long throat is slower than my Kimber 8400's. The Browning lever action takedown is slower too but it also has a shorter barrel.
