Hey, I'm glad you support Manners. We all benefit from competition in the marketplace. And I grew up in Missouri, so I certainly have no problem with anyone supporting Missouri USA-made products. The turkey choke on my shotgun is an Indian Creek Black Diamond Strike specifically because they are made in Missouri. And because they shoot great patterns out to 40 yards.
If Manners matched McMillan's stock weight and price, I'd likely get one. I was just explaining to the OP why I didn't get a Manners, not why you shouldn't get one.
