scenar', the fore end looks a lot "thicker" in that pic than other pics I have seen. You mentioned it is a wider than the Edge Compact, is it a lot "thicker" all the way through the stock?

No expert as I've only handled the SL once and had a Classic Edge to compare it to when I picked up the SL but it sort of felt like a Classic with a cheekpiece.
