I have two heroes I look up to on this site. Phil Shoemaker and John Barsness and neither one would go for cutting down the herd. It takes a lifetime for a man to acquire the guns necessary to be representative of a man who lived. My father just passed away about 1 month ago. You can learn alot about the man he was from his guns. He had a proviso that you never sell your guns but you can trade them up for better guns. I have lived with that view and feel that I am starting to get near where I need to be. 4 safes and I need another soon. I am not yet fifty but I feel that 200 guns that aren't stinkers is probably where I should be. I am not there yet.
