Not being a benchrest/comp shooter, my rifles are hunting rifles. A long time ago I figured out that I toted a rifle a whole lot more than I shot it. My Tikka T 3X 7 RM weighs 7 lbs. 9 oz WITH the scope. I did my load development, chronographed, and sighted the scope -pretty close- and the recoil was NOT too bad. Even at that---it's not a benchrest rifle.
