Hate to break to most here but those that have the say DGAF if you get it they just didn't want everybody to get it at the same time.

Exactly! Nor is the testing going to prevent squat. The only thing that will prevent more infections is vaccination and speed getting it done.

Testing in concert with forced quarantine can slow it down, but the infectivity of this virus while lower than something like smallpox or measles, remains over a longer asymptomatic period and does not appear to net out that an infected covid 19 individual infects fewer people that an infected measles individual.

Vaccination is at least a year + out.
Merica will be dust by then.

Vaccination does not necessarily need to be more than year out. Conventional testing and protocols of vaccines have an objective of minimizing the harm or potential harm they may do. The are parts of the development cycle that we may be able to shorten considerably with little or no risk and there are parts which we may be able to shorten by taking a calculated risk.

Even were we to abandon all control measures and let a million or more people die that isn't going end us. That is not and should not be something we give much consideration to in that we as a nation are pretty good at solving problems. Particularly since we have the ability now today to prevent a lot of needless death.
