Yes, I can.

Not just corn. Or tornadoes.

Heck, I could (used to) see mountains from where I sit now. And forest down in the Kenai River valley was lovely when the colors came on in the fall. Damned trees are now blocking the view of the forest.

I'd restore the view (4 hours, tops, excepting the cleanup) , but State Parks would be all over my ass..... smile.

Well, Jack (head ranger) didn't have any problem cutting more than a thousand trees to maintain the view from the headquarters building a few hundred yards away, so that was "in the State's interest" as he put it.

Funny how that works...

Back to the OP. Law bans "import" but not "possession" - is that right?

How is "import" defined? International or inter-state differences? If International paperwork is in order, can one not "import" the thing to a neighboring state and then bring it home? Who is to know whether that head on the wall does or does not not have CA "approval" - grandfathered in - if one keeps his trap shut. U-haul is rather anonamous.... as is 2 a,m. for the unloading in decent neighborhoods. Mostly.

The only true cost of having a dog is its death.
