The biggest nuclear power plant (Palo Verde) in the world is about 70 miles west of downtown Phoenix. They built it in the 70’s-80’s as California wasn’t supportive of a large nuclear power plant being built there. Much of Palo Verde’s power is however sold to Southern California. But as it is record breaking heat in AZ too right now, I guess CA ain’t getting the power.

That is exactly what is happening. The gov. said they were 4 gigawatts short . Rush said today that cal. turned off 9 gigawatts of natural gas . They were getting it from somewhere and Arizona being so hot can hardly keep up for their own people. California comes up short on power. Fire up the nat. gas plants, problem solved, if they are not torn down.
