Can someone explain to me how they are of no help at all!
I thought their purpose was to limit the distance a infected person could potentially cough or sneeze the viral load from their own person, thus thus slowing transmission by limiting exposure just as in social distancing?
Can you tell us how effective the type of masks required to be worn is in preventing the spread of this particular virus, based on scientific research that has been peer reviewed? Please note that most mask mandates don't require there to be any particular type of mask used, so basically hanging a t-shirt over your mouth and nose is what the research should focus on.
