I have one 358 (custom pre-war M70) that worked just fine on a number of critters (200 gr TTSX) in Africa in 2012. I also have an early Ruger RS that I bedded into a Bansner stock and had matte blued. It has taken Nilgai (250 gr Partition), elk and moose (225 gr TSX) and two black bear (250 gr Speer). Nice lightweight piece. I also have a LaBounty rebore on a pre-war JP Sauer Mauser that has taken a hog (250 Hornady RN). The latter will make next years Campfire hog hunt. Years back a 358 BLR and a 350 Rem SS Ruger.
