When I did my .358 Win Pre-64 Fwt, .243 rebore project, I could have converted the SA set up to LA, like I did with my Pre-64 .243 that's now a 6.5-284. That one needed a LA, IMO.

But, I didn't think I needed such a stout round in that rifle. The .358 Win seemed a better fit and was a lot less trouble, staying with SA parts. In a Fwt, one can crank the .358 Win to a pretty ferocious beast with the right loads. No, it won't compete with the Whelen, but is stout enough for what I'm using it for. And, I do have M-70 .375 H&H if the .358 Win needs help.
