Great round! I like it for big hogs as it will usually leave a blood trail if the hog happens to get in the brush. For deer in the thick it has plenty of penetration for any angle, breaking bones or otherwise. Favorite bullets are the 225 Woodleigh, 250 gr. Hornady RN, 250 gr. Speer. I have some 250 gr. Hornady Spire points, 250 Partitions and some 225 Sierra's but have been very satisfied with he bullets I have already used. I used the 200 gr. Hornady Spire point on a few animals but when that box of bullet ran out I just started using the heavier bullets. My rifle is a FN Mauser with a 19 inch barrel and an off brand synthetic stock topped with a 4 power Leupold. Great shooter, not too heavy and handy. If I were not destined to test every bullet diameter out there and play with them all this rifle would get a lot more use.
