I too, am a big 35 fan. I have a 35 Whelen, 358 Norma mag., and a 358 STA.
So far, I have only used the Whelen on game.
I have taken Elk with 250 gr., a Moose with 280gr. SAF, and my wife has taken a couple of Elk with her Whelen using Federal TBBC 225gr. She likes the lighter recoil of the lighter bullet. I have to admit that her Elk have dropped right where they stood. Hmmmm. Nope, I'm sticking with the 250s and 280s...
