The 35 Whelen in the Rem pump has a big following amongst hound hunters in Oz. These guys hunt Sambar deer that are large deer that are hard to put down. It has become an iconic rifle and calibre amongst those hunters.
Remington dropped the chambering a few times but demand was so strong for the combination here that our local distributor had special runs made to continue to satisfy local demand. Who knows what will happen now with the demise of Remington.
