I have to shoot in a short period of time and I like to figure a lead, pull the trigger and see a puff of hair when the coyote goes down. When my 22-250 barrel went bad I switched to a 1-10 243 barrel and shoot 55-58 grain bullets pushed pretty fast and get the same results with a little more puff. Now if I were playing around plinking steel or shooting paper at 600 yards then yes a longer bullet and a faster twist would be fine. Have a rifle for that too but I don't use it coyote hunting. That said I wouldn't build a 220 swift today, too may better choices that have better brass available.

Did the same.
.243 win with a 75 grain vmax is the ticket.
Good calling rig. Wind blows out here too and has never been a problem. Most called song dogs are 100 and in. Hangers at 250 are dead.
