The whole thing ready to go, scope & all is just a bit over 8 lbs. To have a left handed mauser is a dream. I am glad that I bought my actions when I did. I will pick any up I run across in the future. They clean up well. This action feeds like a dream & is super slick.
When I first thought of this project I was just goung to get a synthetic or lami stock. Have a quick hunter. But NO ONE offers over the counter stocks for a left hand mauser. McMillian would make one but it was going to run about $600. I thought about it and decided to take advantage of the walnut blanks I had and go for my first full blown custom. I am pleased with the end result.
