Just ordered my first .260 today. I've wanted one for about a dozen years, ever since a friend took a T/C in .260 to Africa and did very well on large plains game. I ended up ordering the Remington Model 7. I like its handiness and its something I can put away until the grandkids are big enough to hunt. I was a little put off by the 1 in 9 twist. I have a Model 97D in the 6.5BRM and it has a 1 in 8 twist. I guess I will wait and see what the 1 in 9 twist does in this 20" barrel. Any thoughts appreciated on the twist rate. I've enjoyed reading this thread. It seems the .260 is so generally under-appreciated by the public.
