Mathman do the group sizes fall off dramatically as the charge goes up with 3031?
I finally got around to pushing the 3031 charges up beyond 39.5 grains with a 168.
I used Federal brass, Remington 9 1/2 primers, Nosler 168 gr. match bullets, and 41 grains of IMR 3031.
Overlaying the two, five shot test groups produces a composite ten shot, 2" group. That's at 300 yards, so the load definitely has potential.
