I'm curious if the "heavier rifles shoot better off hand" brigade has actually gone to the range with rifles of various weights, set the target stand at the 100 yd line, and see how well the various rifles group?
When I performed said test several years back I was made an instant convert to light rifles with good triggers.
I've fired plenty of small groups from heavy rifles with heavy triggers off the bench, I've yet to manage that off hand.
