I started at A.S.U. when i didn't have any sense, in 66 before all the concrete, and before i got smart and went to flagstaff.
I spent my freshman year at ASU (59-60). Then Army and a bunch of other colleges, ending up at Flagstaff for some graduate work in 71-72. Then some time in Tolleson and Page. I haven't been in any of those areas since the mid-70's
The other day I was looking at Tempe and Flagstaff in Google Satellite view. Almost nothing I remember is still there, except one place. The gun shop near the underpass in Flagstaff seems to still be there. I bought my first new rifle there, a Ruger 1B in 270 with a Leupold 2-7 scope. Funny, I can't even remember when I sold it.
I spent lots of years and miles in the northern and western deserts of AZ but I think I might be disappointed in many areas now.
