Any time now...might be good to not let him bark...then again, many take it upon themselves to be quiet when a stranger approaches...they learn barking scares them off...meaning they won't get the chance for any close-range intimidation
Had a neighbor years back who had a BIG Bouvier that was just like that. "Ted" was a coooool dog, and knew he was badass.
