Colorado is a "Stop and ID", meaning the cops can demand ID for pretty much any reason. In this state is effectively illegal to leave your home without it.
Nope. In Colorado, “stop and identify” gives law enforcement officers the authority to require you to identify yourself *if* the officer reasonably suspects you are committing, have committed or are about to commit a crime. Without that reasonable suspicion, they can demand your ID all they want to, and you still don’t have to provide it.
