If you ask a server who the worst tippers are next to blacks. It’s usually older people. They tend to order smaller or senior discount meals so as a percent it’s a smaller tip and they tend to hang around and tie up the table the longest. Between that and still thinking a dollar goes far on average they don’t tip well. A lot of times it’s the younger people and poorer people that know what it is to struggle and what a dollar is actually worth today that tip the best.
