My twin brother and I got a Soil and Water Conservation owned surplus 1963 Plymouth station wagon. It was about 6 or 7 years old when we got it and had seen better days. I think it had a 1964 front end on it. A $50 paint job, new radio (didn't come with a radio, just a blank in the dash. How long has it been since you saw something like that?), and a replacement back seat from the junk yard and it still looked like crap. It had a slant 6 engine with 3 on the column and would crank on the first try every time. Used to park it right between a 69 SS 396 Chevelle and a 69 Camaro. We got $2.00/week for gas money to haul the neighborhood kids to school and with that slant six engine we were making money. We weren't walking and life wasn't bad...
