I got a brand new 1963 Pontiac Tempest on June 18, 1963, the day I turned 16. It had a 326 cu inch V8 and was insanely fast. I had it for all of 2 days when I let a buddy take it out for a spin and he crashed it on a stone wall. Luckily, he paid for the repairs, but my Dad took the keys for two months. Four years later, I bought a brand new 1967 Austin Healy Sprite for $2000 cash.
