A friend had a blue 67 LeMans with a 2bbl 326. Had the shark gills.

Surprisingly fast……but he always insisted on shifting first to third, when racing.

Never knew why….he just said second was too close to first.

He bought it cheap, bad throw out bearing. We stupidly just changing that….without a new clutch or pressure plate.

Labor didn’t count in the equation, back then.
