Gotta love the first link. It enforces the argument against low wage + tips.
If they want equity and a high guaranteed wage, raise the phuggin wage. Nobody is stopping them from paying the staff a good wage.
But no. The scheme is to have customers pay directly.
So instead of paying their staff, and charging accordingly, They slip a big surcharge in. Then tell you it's not a tip. Insinuating you still need to tip.
Wouldn't bother me though. I'd go to Mickey D's before I played their game.
