In 1994 I had been losing 20% per year for many years. I scheduled a meeting with my father who made 20% per year. Normally there was rivalry between me and my father over who was smarter. I had to humble myself to change. My father told me that the stockbrokers were wrong 95% of the time, and it was my responsibility to figure out when they were right. He said, ~ "You don't buy a stock because it is going up and you don't sell a stock because it is going down." "You buy a stock because you have a reason, and you don't sell as long as you think the reason is still true."
