I’ve come to see old people as one of the most selfish and entitled segments of our population. There are exceptions, but overall, many of them strike me as narcissistic and self-centered and dense. The only thing that really matters to them, is them. They’d sell their children, and their grandchildren, and the country that we all live in, if it meant that they could get an increase in their monthly social security check.

They think nothing of spending many thousands of dollars of other people’s money at the drop of a hat by riding an ambulance to the ER simply because they’re older than dirt and they don’t feel as good as they did when they were younger. I see it everyday: chief complaint is “weakness” and their age is 86 (or older).

I was born in 1961.

Every day on this side of the ground is a win.
