Fellas, Wow, some really beautiful rifles. Not trying to start a new thread, but I have a question and maybe some of you guys can help me. Having been in the military I have always favored the stainless/glass in camo for all my hunting rifles. Now back for a bit from overseas, I am really getting bitten by the pre-64 Bug. I am looking at a standard 30-06 in reasonable shape for $999- Is that fair/reasonable. Think it was made in 54. Thanks for your advice/comments.
I've seen them cheaper in my area but if it is "all original" that isn't too far off base. I've got one that isn't all original (changed the stock so it is more suited for hunting/shooting) but it is a tack driver and I know its capabilities and its history. I would never let mine go for less than a grand. But that is just me.... I'd also like to see some pics if you can ge them.. Thanks..
