Got it Friday. Felt like crap for about 30 hours but I seem to have survived.

Ultimately, it's a personal decision and I respect peoples right to choose.

I got it, and I got based on my profession, my training, and my education on virology and epidemiology.

As I've stated elsewhere, vaccines are foreign bodies injected to illicit an immune response to trigger the production of T-Lymphocytes and anti-bodies. It is a very complex and delicate cascade of events and it is NOT without complications when you are talking about a half a BLLION doses have been administered so far world wide. There will be some problems just based on 0.0001% of bad side effects we can expect..

Yet on the other hand, I've shared with you the people I have personally lost to Covid, friends and family. You cannot tell any of them, now deceased, that the mortality risk is overstated. They are now statistics.

I will venture to say that these same people in my life that we've lost to Covid would have faired better with the vax than without, and odds are probably they would be in the group without serious side effects.

People can come up with any number of reasons/excuses not to get vaxxed. Fine don't do it. There are risks both ways. If you get vaxxed and get Gillian-Barré, you'd wish you'd never gotten vaxxed. If you skipped the vax or got Covid before it was available and ended up like too many of my buddies and family, you'd wish you'd rolled up your sleeve.

There is no free lunch. There are risks boths ways. Know that. The risks of the vaccinations in my opinion are being politicized and overstated just as much as the mortality of the virus and its threat to human race are politicized and overstated.

Ultimately, it's your call.

My Dr told me I would have to stop taking prednisone 5mg two weeks before & two weeks after for the shot to be effective. I take the pred for eye inflammation & to keep my crohns disease in remission. What I'm wondering is about the flu vaccine I took while on pred, did it even work? Yes it is my call. There are many that claim this is no vaccine but it's actually gene therapy. It doesn't take much to know more than I do about medication and "vaccines" but I do understand why so many people do not trust the so called experts that encourage the use of the "vaccine". Many of them are confirmed liars, Fauci being a very prominent one that comes to my mind. Then there's the myth that if everyone gets vaccinated we will end this virus. Do they not realize they're adding even more reason not to trust them with statements like this? What concerns me about the lack of trust is that these people don't seem to care and that leads me to believe that at some point they will try to force this on us all. So make your choice, and believe me, I will not judge you one way or another however you choose. Most of my colleagues feel the same way. But know that the vast majority of physicians in this and other countries have taken the vaccine. Same for the laboratory scientists. And we have encouraged our loved ones to get vaccinated.

If that isn't putting your money where your mouth is, I don't know of a better example.

The case fatality rate is running about 2.1% worldwide (using Worldometer,com figures), a little lower than that here in the USA (1.8%), a little higher in Brazil (2.7%) and South Africa (3.4%). I had what I thought was the COVID JAN 2020. I had various symptoms throughout the year. Mostly fatigue and short of breath. I just finished up the vaccines and heading for two weeks out. I am feeling much better and taking on more work. It makes sense to me that if the body has a problem recognizing COVID it would have a rough time building resistance against the COVID. If vaccine work like they describe by training the immune system I am all for it. The actual vaccine is not joke. The second dose rocks your world for a few days.

We've been working from home since late March 2020. I think they're calling us all back in September. Feel pretty safe out here on 11 acres not seeing anyone for a week or more at a time 'cept my GF. Being back in a congested office with a more or less transient (college student) population is a whole different game. They're reporting cases back on site among the people who are still working there, sometimes one every couple weeks, sometimes 2-3 per week. I'm 57. I'm on the cusp where the probability of more serious impacts of COVID increase, not bad yet, but not like being 20 or 30. Definitely got some weighing of factors to do.

The Henry Ford system study was the first clue that HCQ was workimg, and as you said, they were giving it early enough to make a difference.
