The last year we had a good dove shoot was about 3 years back. Buddy had two or three places in milo he cut right as the birds came through and they camped out.

Me and my compadre shot birds every day after work for nearly three weeks. I have video of us hunting in 40 mph winds before a storm blew in. It was definitely the “good old days”. And it’ll happen again in a year or two. I’d have to look in my journal to get the count but we killed a bunch that year.


Now the dude is 410ing this year. I think he’s got 4 or 5 so far. Birds are thin but it’s worth going to let him scare a few and watch the dragonflies. We got 5 big collared models this evening.
