This Saturday morning, I will be dove hunting in east Texas. My first bird hunt in 40 years.
The dove were virtually nonexistent. Amongst a dozen hunters, there were a total of about 12-15 shots fired all day. One bird taken in the whole group. I shot once at a bird that was really too far away.
But it was a great day to see the sunrise, listen to the songbirds waking up, watch a lab playing and swimming in the pond and enjoy the fellowship.
